Pocket-lint summer party attracts the great and good in 'Honor' of GPU Turbo | Apps news
Pocket-lint held its first major summer party in London on Tuesday 17 July and, unlike the glorious weather, it went down a storm.
Sponsored by the fabulous Honor, the event attracted some of the biggest tech and lifestyle influencers out there, plus the great and good of the technology and gaming industries.
We got to see how Honor’s new GPU Turbo feature works in the flesh, thanks to live demonstrations, plus the incredible low light possibilities of the all-new Automatic Image Stabilisation (AIS) technology. Both are being pushed as an over-the-air firmware update to existing Honor 10 phones to greatly enhanced the existing tech inside.
In addition, superb photographer Ron Timehin (@rontimehin) was on hand to exhibit a series of amazing photographs that you can win prints of, signed by the man himself.
And it was great to have a whole host of top Instagram, Twitter and YouTube celebs drop by and join in the fun: @mattspracklen, @thetechchap, @letstalktech, @marknayman, @greatarsenal, @rachelfenton1, @misscallyjane, @kayleighmariemorrisx, @erwin_trinidad, @Gadgetsboy and Tech Zilla.
Plus a few creepy extra visitors…
But most of all we loved sipping gin cocktails out of paint tins at the wonderful Graphic in Soho. Tasty.

Honor’s GPU Turbo firmware upgrade will be available 3 August for the Honor 10. It will also include the AIS camera tech that turns good low light photography into great images.
