Free AI App to Generate Poems From Twitter – Artificial Intelligence| Artificial Intelligence
Hi all,
About a year ago, I posted (with permission!) about the AI App to Generate Poems From Twitter that a friend and I wrote, named TwitPoet. At this point, TwitPoet was an iOS only app.
Several people asked if there was an Android version available.
The answer is – there is now!
Please give it a go, and let me know what you think.
It’s free.

TwitPoet can compose Limericks, Haiku, and Rhyming Couplets.
I’ve been interested in Artificial Intelligence, and using it to write (poems, prose, whatever!) for a while now. I first wrote an (extremely crude) poetry generation program on an 8 bit computer , a long time ago.
It occurred to me that social media is the perfect platform for computer poetry, both for the input and output. I’m reasonably pleased with how TwitPoet has worked out (so far!). It is able to analyse the input (tweets, in the case) for rhyme, syllable count and part of speech, and produce poems using this information.
It doesn’t use Markov chains – but perhaps it should.
Here’s some poems it composed:
Limerick on #thecrown
Through no fault of their own #thecrown scene
Actor with massive ears to play queen
over for #tea
is odd company
Tearing it up when they’re on-screen
Haiku on #thecrown
#thecrown on her head
See #mattsmith sleep on Tuesday
who will endure
Thank you.
