45-Minute Super Smash Bros. Livestream Will Showcase Terry Bogard

Super Bros. Director Masahiro Sakurai is hosting a 45-minute on Wednesday, November 6 at 5am PT/8am ET/2pm BST to show off Terry Bogard from Fatal Fury, the next character to join Super Bros. Ultimate. The was revealed via Nintendo Versus on Twitter, who also confirmed that there will be “no announcements regarding any unrevealed fighters.”

Terry Bogard is the fourth fighter in Smash Ultimate's Fighters Pass DLC pack, which has also included Joker from Persona 5, Banjo & Kazooie, and Dragon Quest's Hero.

The SNK fighter was revealed in a Nintendo Direct earlier this year, where Nintendo and Sakurai also confirmed that DLC support for Smash Ultimate will continue after the Fighters Pass wraps up.Nintendo and Sakurai have chosen to show off new characters in this way before, previously doing so for the Hero from Dragon Quest and Banjo & Kazooie. Both of those DLC characters launched soon after their respective livestreams, so we'll hopefully learn Terry's release date and time during the showcase.

Interestingly, the last two presentations only lasted around 22-25 minutes each, much shorter than the 45 minutes devoted to Terry Bogard. That's more than enough time to show off his moveset and stage, potentially with a few other surprises thrown in.

Sakurai did say that the Home Run Contest would likely be the final new mode added to Ultimate, so we probably won't see anything on that front. However, Sakurai does tend to have fun with these, like when he encouraged Nintendo fans to play Banjo-Kazooie on Xbox, so anything is possible.
