Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War PS4 Beta Date Leaked Online

While Activision hadn’t officially announced when the Call of Duty: Black Cold open beta is coming online, a recent leak may have the answer.

Activision has been giving fans a lot of information on the new Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. While the company has shown off details about the game like that its Call of Duty campaign will have multiple endings based on the player’s decisions throughout the story. However, it seems that the game’s open beta start date has been leaked online as well.

On August 26, Activision revealed Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War more openly to the public, showing off new characters, villains, and storyline. On top of this, the company also told fans that there would be an open beta for the Call of Duty game when it is purchased digitally. While Activision didn’t confirm when this would be available, a recent leak may have the answer.

According to a rumor, the Arabic version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone may contain the date that the open beta for Black Ops Cold War may begin, at least for the PS4 version. CharlieIntel reported the leak, saying that when a player selects the pre-order option for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War from the in-game store, the information lists that the PS4 open beta will begin on October 8. Activision has not addressed this rumor, but the timing makes sense considering when the full game will be released. However, if this rumor does prove to be correct, it isn’t certain that the Xbox One open beta will come out at the same time.

While the most surefire way for a player to get access to the new Call of Duty game’s open beta is to pre-order the game digitally, there is also another way for fans to get in on the action early. This Sunday on August 30, the Call of Duty League will be streaming as part of the Championship Week. During this time, the League will be giving out 10,000 digital codes for the open beta to fans. However, the details on the giveaway are somewhat limited, so players who want to participate in the open beta will have a better chance if they purchase the game for themselves.

Many players are excited to see what this new Call of Duty game and what it entails. The sixth game in the Black Ops series, Black Ops Cold War seems that it will be bringing real historical events and figures such as Perseus into the gaming franchise, which will add an interesting angle to the first-person shooter.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War launches on November 13 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
