In less than 24 hours, 2: Forsaken will be released worldwide, and Guardians will return to The Reef once more to hunt down Uldren Sov and avenge Cayde-6. Today, Bungie officially confirmed the time for across the globe. Players will be able to access Destiny 2’s big DLC starting at 10 a.m. PDT on September 4 following the conclusion of scheduled server maintenance and downtime.

brings a ton of new content to Destiny 2 in the form of a new story, new powerful exotic gear, and new endgame content to enjoy. Forsaken is the largest expansion Bungie has ever crafted for the Destiny franchise, so fans will have plenty to sink their teeth into tomorrow. Destiny 2 servers will be offline from 10 a.m. EDT/7 a.m. PDT until Forsaken’s scheduled launch time of 1 a.m EDT/10 a.m. PDT. Players downloaded a good chunk of Forsaken during the 2.0.0 Update Tuesday, but Bungie has not stated how large the update will be tomorrow. Once the server maintenance has concluded, it’s officially time to hunt down Uldren Sov.

Once players track down and defeat the Barons and Uldren Sov, they will gain access to the mystical Dreaming City patrol zone. The Dreaming City is filled with secrets and puzzles to uncover after completing the main campaign.

The Dreaming City is also home to the Last Wish raid, which launches September 14 at 10 a.m. PDT, a much longer wait compared to the previous Destiny raids. It remains to be seen how relevant the Tangled Shore patrol zone will be after gaining access to the Dreaming City, but hopefully Bungie will incorporate it in a meaningful way after the majority of players have moved on to the Awoken homeland.

This enormous DLC is a great place to pick the game up for new and returning players, as much of the game has changed for the better since the launch of Destiny 2 a year ago. With a new weapon system, better rewards, and more meaningful content, Forsaken may be the new start that Destiny 2 desperately needed. Players will have to explore the DLC first hand to see if Forsaken will be enough to keep Destiny 2 alive for the foreseeable future.
