Dragon Ball FighterZ Adding Base Form Goku and Vegeta | Gaming News
When Dragon Ball FighterZ first launched, the 2.5D fighting game had Super Saiyan Goku, Super Saiyan Vegeta, SSGSS Goku, and SSGSS Vegeta on its roster, but the game did not contain the original base form of the two fan-favorite characters. But now, following the addition of Fused Zamasu and Vegito Blue, both Vegeta and Goku’s base forms are coming to the fighter.
Each character will be made available in early August and come with some of their signature moves: for Goku, that means Kai0-ken and Super Spirit Bomb; for Vegeta, that means Galaxy Breaker and Galick Gun. Not much else is known concerning the latest additions to Dragon Ball FighterZ, but players can expect more information to come soon since these characters are coming early next month.
Thus far, a leak several months ago has been accurate, beginning with the first pair of DLC characters up to now. As long as it remains true, which seems to be the case, that means the next and final additions to the roster will be Android 17 and Cooler. Of course, while the prediction ends with those two characters, that doesn’t necessarily mean DLC characters will end with those two.

Still, the Goku and Vegeta DLC, as well as the Nintendo Switch version of the game, are the focus for now. It was also revealed the Switch Version will be getting an open Beta in August as well, though it remains uncertain if that is a Japan-exclusive event. It is worth mentioning, however, that not everyone is happy to see the core characters of the franchise added to the game as DLC, especially after so many characters already revolve around the two (the four aforementioned forms, Vegito, Goku Black).
Nevertheless, gamers excited to expand their fighting roster should check back for the official trailer for the release in the coming days. After all, every DLC pair has received a trailer, such as Broly/Bardock and Vegito Blue/Fused Zamasu, and it’ll be interesting to see how the game treats the age-old rivalry between Goku and Vegeta in this latest DLC.
Dragon Ball FighterZ is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, and will come out in September 2018 for Nintendo Switch.
