Rumor: Fable 4 Leak Reveals Gameplay Details and More

It’s E3 season, and that means video game leaks and rumors are everywhere. Some of these leaks are legitimate, but others not-so-much. The latest apparent E3 2019 has to deal with the rumored Fable 4, and it offers the most about what the new game, allegedly in development at Playground Games, may entail so far.

Like any “,” we must stress that fans should take this information with a massive grain of salt. However, there is one thing that makes this a little more intriguing than others. It stems from a since-deleted Reddit post by SufficientBridge7 (whose account is now deleted as well) that included a link to a video claiming to show early reel footage of the game. Unfortunately, that video has also been deleted. It’s possible that the video didn’t even exist and the whole thing is a hoax, so fans should treat this leak with a healthy bit of skepticism, but if the video did actually exist, it makes this leak a little more legitimate than others.

According to the leaker, these will be key features in Fable 4:

  • First/Third person
  • In depth character creator
  • Completely open
  • No guns
  • Can ignore main quest and never become a hero
  • Players can build towns, ties into main quest heavily if you get the bad ending and fail
  • Multiplayer
  • Unreal Engine

In addition to these gameplay details, the supposed Fable 4 leaker has also offered story details. According to the leaker, Albion was destroyed by an asteroid, with civilization eventually rising again to rebuild the world. In Fable 4, the asteroid is coming back, and the players’ main goal is to prevent another disaster. Returning characters include Theresa, the Heroes Guild, and Jack of Blades, with time travel figuring heavily into the plot.

We have no way of verifying this information and there is a chance that it is not real. However, if it is real, it potentially contradicts the Microsoft E3 2019 press conference leak, as that leak claimed that fans would only see a cinematic for the new Fable. All of this information in the new leak seems to suggest that Microsoft will be revealing a lot more about the game come E3 2019 than just a cinematic trailer.

Luckily, there’s plenty of evidence that the new Fable will be at E3 2019, so fans should find out if there’s any truth to this latest leak at Microsoft’s E3 2019 press conference on June 9.

Fable 4 is rumored to be in development.
