Alfa Romeo-Branded Sauber F1 Team Puts On A Show In Milan | Feature

The Alfa Romeo Sauber took to the streets of Milan this week in order to showcase an car, along with the Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio models.

Dubbed ‘ Unleashed’, the event will continue to run until September 1st, as a warm up to the Italian Grand Prix at Monza, scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 2nd.

Visitors are invited to the Fan Village, where they’ll be able to see not just the Alfa Romeo Sauber showcar, but also the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio NRing, which is a limited edition model built to celebrate the famous Nurburgring circuit.

To anybody paying close attention to Formula 1 racing in general, we’re sure you might have noticed that the car being driven in Milan wasn’t the team’s actual 2018 racer. In fact, by the looks of it, we reckon it’s actually the Sauber C30 (with the 2018 livery), which the team used during the 2011 Formula 1 season.

Currently, the Alfa Romeo-Branded Saubers are enjoying one of their best seasons in recent years, having already amassed 19 points ahead of next weekend’s Italian Grand Prix. Their newly-found success is due in part to the car’s Ferrari power unit, and also to rising star Charles Leclerc, who scored 13 out of the team’s 19 points.

During the two previous seasons combined, Sauber only managed to secure a total of 7 points.
