BAD NEWS! No Dark Mode Feature For WhatsApp

The well-known feature Dark mode is a trend, as the arrival of OLED screens to mobile devices has accelerated the launch of this alternative within the main applications. And not only that even in Windows 10 we have a dark mode, in addition to having a dark mode in major browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Many months ago we learned that WhatsApp would also have dark mode and we even saw the first screenshots of the dark mode of WhatsApp a few weeks ago only. However, overnight we learned that the dark mode of WhatsApp has completely disappeared from the version which is in development for Android.

According to the latest information posted on Twitter by the well-known media portal WABetaInfo, the well-known dark mode feature in WhatsApp for Android has completely disappeared. As we all know that this was a feature that was in development, but now without any explanation has completely disappeared.

The person who is in charge of the account, like all of us, can not hide his surprise at this unexpected news. As we all thought that the dark mode of WhatsApp would be ready in a week or before the summer at the most. However, all mention of it has been removed in version 2.19.123.

I don't know why WhatsApp has abandoned the dark mode for Android.

They removed every reference in the 2.19.123 update, but I wanted to wait another beta to be sure.. and no tracks of it in the 2.19.124 update too..

Yes, from WABetaInfo ask for caution in case it could be some kind of error or a change of focus in the development of this feature. It is possible that the well-known instant messaging app WhatsApp does not want anything to leak, which would explain why they have removed all mention of the dark mode feature in the application itself.

For that reason, the dark mode feature has been eliminated, but we must wait for beta 2.19.124 to know if it is final, or just if it is a change of focus or it will be available again, as it has been a simple error or confusion part of the developers.

Due to the flood of doubts about it, the well-known media portal WABetaInfo promise to report promptly in its Twitter account the news about the elimination of the dark mode of WhatsApp. At the time of publishing this news, the dark mode has completely disappeared from the Android version and we do not know if it will come back or not.
