Instagram Finally Gets In-App Post Scheduling

If you’re tired of using external tools to schedule posts on , you’ll be glad to know that the social media platform is finally rolling out its in-app scheduling tool.

Instagram App Gets Post Scheduling

Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced the new feature in a social media on 8 November 2022, dubbing scheduling a “finally feature”. Mosseri says that Instagram should have introduced this post a long time ago, but now it’s finally here.

The new feature will allow Instagram users to schedule posts up to 75 days in advance. However, it is only available to users with creator or business accounts on the platform.

As of 8 November, the scheduling feature is available on Android. However, according to Instagram’s official Twitter account, iOS users will receive the feature soon.

To schedule a post, users will go through the usual flow of creating a video, carousel, or image post on Instagram. However, at the end of the flow, before publishing, you will be able to access Advanced settings at the bottom of the screen. If the feature is available to you, you will see a toggle option to Schedule this post.

Once the scheduling feature is toggled on, you will be able to select a date and time up to 75 days into the future. If you want to view scheduled content and edit it, you can go to your profile and select the More menu to select the scheduled posts option.

If you’re a creator who wants to access the feature, make sure to switch your Instagram profile to a professional account. You may even want to create multiple Instagram accounts to handle your personal and professional profiles separately.

Scheduling Made Easy on Instagram

With the new update, scheduling is no longer a hassle on Instagram. While third-party tools may still prove useful to social media managers, the new feature makes scheduling easily accessible within the Instagram app.
