WhatsApp Web Soon New Feature Support voice & video call
WhatsApp is gearing up to soon add support for making video and voice calls on its browser version of its popular messaging application. These two features have been available for years on smartphones and are finally making their way to WhatsApp Web.
As of now, voice and videos calls on WhatsApp Web appears to be in a beta stage. Luckily, WABetaInfo still managed to get the feature working, bringing us some screenshots to demonstrate what calls will look like on the web/desktop. When users receive a call on the web, a popup window will appear, allowing users to accept or decline the call. A different window appears when you make a call; it’s smaller and features controls to mute your mic and hang up.
WABetaInfo also said that Group Voice and Video calls are being tested for WhatsApp Web, which will be a great way to communicate with friends and family.
Unfortunately, this update for the added support has yet to be officially announced by the company. So, it is unknown as to when exactly the update will be rolling out. However, it shouldn’t be too far in the future considering it’s already functional to a certain degree. So stay tuned for more updates on this.
