On Wednesday at the SAP SAPPHIRE NOW conference in Orlando, the company announced new updates to its digital platform. Using SAP HANA, the digital platform helps unlock business insights through data-driven innovation.
Here are the new features SAP announced:
SAP HANA Cloud services: This service brings customers access to data in a distributed landscape in real time. With a single source of data in one unified system, business professionals can have access to all of their information, regardless of where it is stored.
SAP Data Warehouse Cloud: This is the first solution built on the SAP HANA Cloud Services platform. The cloud service management allows organizations to view data across all relevant sources, and quickly activate the structured data for all business needs—while keeping the information protected.
SAP Data Intelligence: This solution is an extension of SAP HANA Data Services, which compiles unstructured data on non-SAP HANA sources and prepares it for use in places like the SAP Analytics Cloud. The service is planned to be available in June 2019, and will help customers deploy machine learning models using any data, in any format, from any source.
SAP Cloud Platform collaboration with OpenText: The mission of this service is to help improve customer collaboration across all business processes and increase productivity. This document management system will be available later this year, and integration into SAP S/4HANA Cloud and other applications will follow.
SAP Intelligent Robotic Process Automation: This system allows customers to create digital desktop bots, which will automate business functions and improve productivity to help customers make better business decisions. The automation suite enables the software robots to mimic humans, replacing manual clicks, interpreting text-heavy conversations, and make process suggestions.
SAP and AWS IoT: SAP announced its partnership with AWS Internet of Things (IoT), along with the collaboration of SAP Leonardo IoT and AWS IoT Core. This combination allows customers to use AWS IoT Core as a connectivity and device management layer for IoT telemetry data, which is then communicated to SAP Leonardo IoT.
SAP Analytics Cloud updates: These updates prioritize collaborative enterprise planning, helping users better communicate and coordinate across all lines of business.
