Gojek is shutting down a number of its GoLife services

Indonesian ride-hailing unicorn gojek announced that it is down a of its GoLife , only two years after its launch.

According to Wesly Simatupang, the company's vice president who is in charge of the GoLife app, most of these have grown stagnant, excluding GoClean and GoMassage. The last two services accounted for up to 90 per cent of total orders in the GoLife ecosystem.

Simatupang further explained that GoLaundry and GoDaily will shut down by December 31 while GoFix and GoGlam would be closed by mid-January.

gojek would provide an opportunity for its partners impacted by the decision to sign up with its other services.

Bangalore-based foodtech startup HungerBox has closed US$12 million in funding from a host of Indian and international investors such as Paytm and NPTK, who joined existing backers Sabre Partners and Neoplux.

The funding is the extension of the US$4.5 million round from Sabre, Neoplux, Lionrock Capital (Singapore), and Infosys Co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan in 2018.

The startup said it will use the new investment to grow HungerBox's operations in 10 new Indian cities as well as fuel the company's international expansion to Southeast Asia.
