Google’s launches new tools that let parents turn off teenagers’ smartphones remotely | Feature

Digital Asia News Update

Do abusive parents give their kids smartphones? I feel like, if they did, they may be sooner to just smash the phone if it were an issue.

I feel like any good parent wouldn’t actually use this app on their kids. What a lot of parents don’t realize is that kids need to learn to make good decisions themselves. They can’t have their hands held through everything they do. This happens far too often, then we see the problems that come from it as soon as kids turn 18 and they’re “released” into the world. So many problems with people going into excesses, when they finally get some freedom. This is in large part due to the fact that parents don’t give kids the opportunity to learn to make good decisions on their own gradually as they’re growing up.

P.S. I’m sure the kids will quickly learn to get around the block. I’d hate to see the permissions that app would need.
