In July 10, Grab announced the launch of GrabFresh following the launch of food delivery service GrabFood. The service is currently in beta stage in Jakarta, and will be launched in Thailand and Malaysia by the end of 2018.

The service is integrated to GrabPlatform which offers a suite of APIs that allow partnering companies to access Grab’s technology in verticals such as logistics (GrabExpress), payments (GrabPay), and user authentication (GrabProfiles).

The strategy is seen as mutually beneficial for both companies as it allows partner-companies to access customer database and distribution channel.

Prior to this reported investment, HappyFresh has raised an undisclosed Series B funding round led by Samena Capital.
