Anthem Enemies Influenced By Time of Day | Gaming
Although Anthem is still about eight months away, thats not stopping future players from thinking about the game day and night. Ever since the information dump that came along with E3’s Anthem coverage, the community has been hungry for any information the development team is willing to share. Luckily, Anthem’s Executive Producer has been very open to questions from fans.
Mark Darrah, Executive Producer of Anthem, started answering fan questions during E3 2018 week and has never really stopped. He’s dropped all kinds of interesting hints and tidbits about the game and apparently plans to continues answering whatever he can until the title arrives.
Most recently, a fan took to Twitter to ask Darrah if the time of day would impact enemy spawns or behaviors. The answer was a very clear affirmative.

Although Darrah didn’t go into any detail at all, it is still very interesting to learn about this behavior. Obviously it leads to a lot more questions about which enemies will spawn at which time periods and how their behavior will change; but it will likely be a few more months before we get those kind of answers.
Because Anthem takes place in a shared universe with other players, it will also be interesting to see if these kind of mechanics impact raid or grouping strategies. It would also be interesting to learn if there is particular loot that can only be dropped during certain time periods, because an enemy that drops it only spawns during certain windows.
Continue to check back for more Anthem news and updates in the months leading up to the game’s launch.
Anthem releases February 22, 2019 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
