Bloodborne Fan Shows Off Impressive Card Artwork of Plain Doll
Sometimes the best artwork for a game can come from fans. While developers will release amazing official artwork for their games, many fans go above and beyond in creating pieces that are just as impressive. One Bloodborne fan has done just that, creating an awesome piece for the game’s Plain Doll.
The Plain Doll is an NPC found in Bloodborne and operates as the main way to level up in the game. The character is found in the Hunter’s Dream, the main hub where players can trade and upgrade. One gamer recently created a piece of Bloodeborne fan art for the Plain Doll, drawing a special card for the character.
A Redditor by the handle feruasart drew the Plain Doll in the form of a card. The drawing shows the Plain Doll’s soft features along with a sad and somber expression on her face. It is an impressive piece, capturing the darker atmosphere of Bloodborne while keeping some beauty in the character.
In the card, Bloodborne’s Plain Doll is surrounded by red flowers, which fit with the dark color palette that is being used. Feruasart also drew an impressive eclipsed moon in the background, which frames the Plain Doll perfectly. The artist states that they really love the character, and it shows through the beauty that they imposed on her in their drawing.
The card art of the Plain Doll is receiving a lot of positive attention. A few commented that they love the colors that feruasart used in the piece, with one commenter stating that the coloring is “impeccable.” One fan stated that they would hang the artwork on their office wall, while others complimented the artist for the details that they added in the art. There was also a request for feruasart to draw Melina of FromSoftware’s latest title, to which the artist responded that they plan on creating fan art based off of Elden Ring.
The Plain Doll art that feruasart created comes at a good moment. The Bloodborne community is currently celebrating the annual Return to Yharnam event, prompting fans to help ring in the game’s seventh anniversary. While there are no major rules for the event, the goal is for players to create a new character and engage with the community through PvP and cooperative multiplayer. While there is still no word on whether a remastered version or sequel for Bloodborne is in the works, players can participate in this event to help celebrate what is definitely one of FromSoftware’s most ambitious titles.
Bloodborne is available now for PS4.
