Cheating in PUBG Could Get You Banned For 10 Years
PUBG Mobile is a massively popular Battle Royale game where you face off against a hundred players on a vast battlefield. As the game grows in popularity, it is also faced with the challenge of keeping its immense player base from cheating through third-party means.
The game already has several in-game features to keep such players in check, but now it has announced a much more severe measure against hackers. Players found cheating in the game will now face a 10-year-ban, announced PUBG Mobile on Saturday.
The move is meant as a counteraction against players that use third-party apps to gain an unfair advantage in the game. Players can report other players suspected of cheating through the in-game reporting system that will prompt the responsible team, who will ensure that stringent action is taken.
The company said in a post
We have always strived to deliver a gaming environment that is fair and enjoyable for each and every player and prevent cheating. We take this issue very seriously; as such, each account in violation has received a 10-year ban. We would like to remind all players about the importance of fair play, and thank you for keeping PUBG MOBILE fair and fun.
PUBG Mobile regularly reports lists of players banned for cheating. Last year in December, more than 30,000 PUBG accounts were banned for cheating.
