Colin McRae rally game DiRT 4 coming to Mac next year
Developed by Codemasters, DiRT 4 it the sixth title in the DiRT racing game series and the twelfth game in the Colin McRae Rally series. The game was initially released on June 6, 2017, only for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows platforms.
Now, almost two years later, the DiRT 4 racing video is finally coming to Linux and Mac users on March 28th, thanks to the hard work done by UK-based video games publisher Feral Interactive, which has put a lot of effort in porting the DiRT series to Linux and macOS, DiRT Rally being the first.
“Over the edge — DiRT 4 hurtles towards macOS and Linux March 28. Embrace the diehard challenge of all-terrain motorsport in an electrifying mix of racing events including the FIA World Rallycross Championship,” said Feral Interactive in a brief announcement on their website.
Now available for pre-order from Feral Store
The DiRT 4 video game comes with more than 50 powerful off-road cars, including the Audi Sport Quattro S1 E2, Ford Fiesta R5, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI, and Subaru WRX STI NR4, and five challenging locations, including Fitzroy in Australia, Michigan in the US, Powys in Wales, Tarragona in Spain, and Värmland in Sweden.
In addition, players will be able to fully customize their rides by fine-tuning the cars, from grip levels to suspension, as well as the track, the weather, and the driving style. DiRT 4 lets you create your own rally routes with the “‘Your Stage” tool, and you can also join the DiRT Academy to master the skills of rally driving.

If you already own DiRT 4, you’ll be able to play it on Steam for Linux and macOS starting March 28th, 2019. Meanwhile, check out the trailer and screenshots below to see the game in action!
