Final Fantasy 7 Remake Compared to Original Scenes

Without a doubt, one of the most anticipated games currently in development is the Fantasy 7 Remake, which is set to make a ton of changes to the game that originally launched in 1997. One of these changes is the multi-part series approach of the Fantasy 7 Remake, and while details on how that will work exactly are scarce, the core experience will remain the same. Players will follow Cloud Strife and AVALANCHE in their battle against the Shinra corporation and Sephiroth, but with better graphics.

Gaming has come a long way since the release of the Fantasy 7, so it should come as no surprise that the graphical differences between it and the Final Fantasy 7 Remake are so vast. With the same exact scenes side by side, the two games do not even look the same. And while many may enjoy the nostalgic graphics of the 1997 version, there’s no doubting that the new graphics make the game look above and beyond.

One of the major changes gleaned from this is the removal of the age-old text box, as it has been previously confirmed that the remake will feature full voice-acting, truly bringing this game up to par with its modern counterparts such as Final Fantasy 15. Most of these scenes come as a result of the recent Sony State of Play Stream that finally saw a new Final Fantasy 7 Remake trailer drop.

One of the other changes seen in the aforementioned trailer is the change up of the combat system. While giving only a glance, it does showcase some combat far different from the original. It has been known for some time that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake would be moving away from the original, turn-based combat, but there’s nothing quite like seeing it in action.
