Google has announced a new Stadia bundle, now available at the G-Store, which will replace the previously announced and available Google Stadia Founders Edition.Google confirmed to IGN that, as of today, September 18, the Stadia Founders Edition, which included the exclusive Night Blue Stadia controller, is now largely sold out. It is available in very limited supply in the U.S. and Canada, as well as the U.K., but is otherwise completely sold out in Europe..
Instead, what will be available to those looking to purchase a Stadia bundle ahead of the game streaming platform’s launch later this year is the Premiere Edition, which will also cost $129 as the Founders Edition did.
What’s in the Google Stadia Premiere Edition?
Google Stadia’s Premiere Edition is nearly identical to the Founders Edition, except for a couple notable exceptions. The Premiere Edition will include:
- Chromecast Ultra (MSRP: $69)
- Three-month Stadia Pro Subscription (MSRP: $9.99 per month)
- Stadia Clearly White Controller (MSRP: $69)
The Founders Edition and Premiere Edition, while sharing a price point and largely the same features, come with a couple of differences.
The Founders Edition comes with the exclusive Night Blue controller, while the Premiere Edition comes with the Clearly White controller. Meanwhile, the Founders Edition also includes a Buddy Pass, which allows Stadia Founders buyers to share three months of Stadia Pro, Google’s subscription program for Stadia, with a friend. Additionally, Founders Edition buyers have access to specialty Stadia usernames, while Premiere Edition buyers will have access to the same username formatting all Stadia members going forward will be able to choose.
