Nintendo Switch has secret unannounced games due out this year | Gaming
According to Nintendo here are still more Switch games to be revealed before Christmas, but is a new Star Fox amongst them?
Game preview: Battlefield V closed alpha is already looking amazing
Long before E3 started, Nintendo warned that they would be concentrating on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and wouldn’t talk about anything that wasn’t out this year.
They actually broke that promise because Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Daemon X Machina aren’t out until 2019, which means the only new game to be announced, that’s out before Christmas, was Super Mario Party.
But according to outgoing Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima there are more.
Speaking to shareholders in Japan, as translated by DualShockers, Kimishima said that it was ‘not yet time to announce the full line-up’.
He gave no hint as to what the other games are but described Nintendo’s Christmas schedule as a ‘powerful line-up’.
At the moment the only significant first party games that are confirmed for Christmas are Super Mario Party, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!/Let’s Go, Eevee!, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
It’s hard to imagine any company announcing a major title this late in the day, and it’s certainly not something Nintendo has done before, but then they’re nothing if not unpredictable.
Before E3 there were rumours of something called Star Fox: Grand Prix, so that could still be on the table for this year. There was also no mention at E3 of the unnamed Yoshi game that was announced last year but hasn’t been seen since, so that also seems a possibility.
