Pokémon Go Psychic Spectacular Dates and Details | Gaming News
Pokemon GO’s summer of events may have officially concluded, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t still plenty to keep players busy. Although many fans assumed the next major event would be Halloween-themed and arrive in a few weeks, it turns out Niantic has a special Psychic Spectacular lined up to keep the community active early in the month.
The surprise Pokemon GO event was announced today via an in-game notification and offers players a chance to earn that Gold Psychic Badge and also potentially finish the Catch 40 Grass or Psychic-Type quest that many casual fans are slowly working through. Even if players have already achieved both of those goals, there’s still plenty to be excited about.
Here is a look at some of the official details from the press release…
Date + Time: Oct. 5, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7) to Oct. 14, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. PDT (GMT −7)
Psychic-type Pokémon will appear in the wild more frequently.
Additional Field Research focusing on Psychic-type Pokémon will be available.
Shiny Drowzee has a chance to appear!
The event description also confirms that Mewtwo will remain in Battle Raids during the Psychic Spectacular. That, in addition to increased spawns of meta-relevant Pokemon like Abra, Ralts, and Baltoy, should offer plenty of motivation for players to get out and hunting during the upcoming week.
We should learn more about the new Field Research tomorrow, so be sure to check back for more updates throughout the weekend. Until then, good luck out there, trainers!
Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
