Red Dead Online: How to Gain Weight

In Redemption 2‘s Red Dead mode, players can influence the stats of their created character in a number of ways. One way is by gaining or losing , with players able to get more health at the cost of stamina if they enough weight in the online western. And considering the griefers and multitude of other ways that players can die, having more health is never a bad thing.

To get more health in Red Dead Redemption 2‘s Red Dead Online mode by gaining weight, players simply have to put on the pounds. Luckily, gaining weight doesn’t require any trickery – it literally just boils down to eating a lot and not moving much, just like in real life. The best way to gain weight is to collect as much food as possible, and then just eat it all, even when all of the cores are filled.

The problem is Red Dead Online’s various activities mean that players will almost constantly be on the move, which will cause them to lose weight. That’s why we recommend gathering as much food as possible before trying to gain weight, as it will cut down on traveling to stores or looting the game world for some extra eats.

Another way to get food in Red Dead Online, and perhaps the best way for anyone hoping to gain weight, is by fishing and hunting. Players should focus on hunting large game, and then after collecting a decent amount, scarfing it all down at once. By doing this repeatedly, players should be able to eat enough that the energy they’re exerting from hunting still won’t stop their weight gain.

And with that, Red Dead Online players should be able to gain the weight they want, and have a bit more health to work with as a result. Again, it’s worth pointing out that the extra health comes at the expense of stamina, so players will just have to decide which stat is more important to them.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is out now for PS4 and Xbox One.
