Is that some sort of Spider-Man Halloween party costume?
It looks like the upcoming Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse animated film has a (very) subtle tie-in to Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man for PlayStation 4.
As pointed out by Marvel Games Executive Creative Director Bill Roseman, the Into the Spider-Verse trailer features a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it shot of the primary Spider-Man suit from Insomniac’s game. Watch the new trailer below:
In the trailer you’ll notice a portion of the suit with its signature white Spider-Man logo can be seen inside of a display case in the background of the shot pictured below, just to the right of Peter.
“I spy with my little eye a special suit to the right of Peter Parker’s shoulder in this scene from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse!” Roseman tweeted today.
Peter Parker isn’t the only character from Marvel’s Spider-Man present in the still. Appearing alongside him is Miles Morales, who is Into the Spider-Verse’s protagonist and who also played a major supporting role in Marvel’s Spider-Man for PlayStation 4.
Between the game, the movie, and a new comics series, Miles Morales is having a huge 2018. Casual fans who may be confused about why there are multiple Spider-Man characters can brush up on the Spider-Verse and all of its heroes ahead of the film’s Dec. 14 release and find out how the Spider-Verse ties into another upcoming piece of Marvel media, Friday’s Venom film.
