Submachine gun added in the new Fortnite season 5 update | Gaming
A new weapon has been added to Fortnite Battle Royale in this week’s update.
It’s the only major change to the game this week, but fans won’t be too dissapointed season 5 was launched last Thursday.

Last week’s update saw the introduction of the desert biome, as well as two new locations and a golf cart that can carry a whole squad.
Epic Games also added Rifts to the game which are portals that teleports players into the air so they can drop back down onto the map.
The addition of the submachine gun weapon sees the Tactical SMG moved to the vault, which means that it will no longer be available in the game.
The submachine gun will be available as a common, uncommon and rare weapon and it uses light ammo.
The only other change to the game this week is that the damage of the Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle has been increased from 63-66 to 75-78.

19-21 base damage.
Uses Light Ammo.
30 round capacity.
Can be found in floor loot and chests.
What has been added to Fortnite for season 5?
An All Terrain Kart (ATK) has been introduced as a new mode of transport for Fortnite Battle Royale.
The kart can hold a whole squad of players and has various features including speed boosts after drifting and a bounce pad roof.
Players can also work together when riding the kart to perform higher jumps and get over bigger obstacles.
There is also a new desert biome has been introduced for season 5 and it includes two new locations –
- Paradise Palms
- Lazy Links
Other new points of interest have also been added to various areas around the map.
