Supply llama spotted in London phone box as Fortnite reality leak continues | Gaming

That’s not something you see everyday

Europe has been subject to multiple sightings of real-life supply llamas from Fortnite, as fans struggle to work out what it all means.

Fortnite has become so successful that objects from the game have begun to leak into the real world. The first was a Durr Burger in the Californian desert, but now multiple cities in Europe have seen giant plastic llamas turning up in phone boxes.

There’s been two in London, as well as one each in Barcelona, Cannes, Cologne, Paris, and Warsaw. And there may be more too, once younger fans are taught what a phone box actually is and get around to checking them all properly.

At face value the explanation for all this is fairly simple: in the game there’s currently a rift in time and space which is sucking in objects from the game world and spitting them out into the real world.

But some are convinced there’s more to it than that.

So that’s how they’re getting around

Some fans on Reddit think that the props are part of some sort of global ARG (alternate reality game) and that there’s a clue in their placement as to what will happen next in Fortnite.

They’ve been trying to triangulate the llama’s positions and using various numerical clues based on locations near to where the llamas are found, but so far there’s been no major revelations.

The rift in the game is one in both time and space though, and so far the time travel aspect doesn’t seem to have affected any of the real world props.

A Wild West stage coach did turn up in the game yesterday though and there’s expected to be a lot more of that as Fortnite Season 5 gets ready to start on Thursday, July 12.

Can you spot the llama?
