What is Fortnite’s Hunting Party challenge? | Gaming News
Just like the Blockbuster and Road Trip challenges before it, each step of the Hunting Party challenge requires players to complete all of the challenges that open up on each week of the season — that’s seven total challenges each week. Once players have done this seven times they’ll unlock a hidden legendary skin. Because you need to have completed seven full weeks of challenges, this mystery skin won’t be available until week seven of the season.
While last season’s skin, the Enforcer, didn’t have anything to do with the change of seasons, Season 4’s skin, the Visitor was the direct cause for things shifting from Season 4 to Season 5. There’s really no telling what this year’s skin might look like, but it’s possible that it could once again be directly connected to the overall Battle Royale plot.
Hunting Party isn’t the only long-term challenge that was added to Fortnite with the launch of the Season 6 Battle Pass, as the Calamity and Dire challenges were also unlocked. Both of these challenges task players with earning certain amounts of experience in order to earn five tiers of rewards. Each tier of reward unlocks a new customization option for the challenges’ respective skins. Once you have completed five of the eight challenges on Calamity you’ll earn a new special harvesting tool called Reckoning, while doing the same on Dire will unlock a special samurai sword back bling.
Unfortunately, you can’t start earning progress toward the Dire challenges until you have the base skin unlocked, which means you’ll need to get your Battle Pass all the way up to tier 100 first. Thankfully, there’s no rush to complete these challenges. Unlike the Hunting Party challenge, which must be completed during the season, these two challenges are going to stick around, and will always be available to anyone who bought the Battle Pass.
