Xbox with gold includes specific games hitting service

Microsoft has announced the March 2019 lineup of Xbox Games With Gold, which includes Metal Gear, Star Wars, Garden Warfare and Adventure Time games.

The specific games hitting the service are the RPG Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion, the third-person shooter Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, the Xbox classic and tactical first-person shooter Star Wars: Republic Commando and the action-packed Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.

Here’s when you can download each game starting next month:

  • Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion – March 1-31 (Xbox One)
  • Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 – March 16-April 15 (Xbox One)
  • Star Wars: Republic Commando – March 1-15 (Xbox 360, Xbox One via backward compatibility)
  • Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance – March 16-31(Xbox 360, Xbox One via backward compatibility)

In our review of Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion, we called the game “Mediocre” saying it “has some of the show’s hilarious personality, but not enough to make its basic and trivially easy RPG mechanics worth sitting through.”

In our review of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2, we called the game “Great” saying it’s “a great online shooter with an unexpected wealth of single-player stuff, too.”

In our review of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, we called the game “Great” saying “Few action games are as fast, rewarding, and exciting as the insane and imperfect Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.”

The February 2019 Xbox Games With Gold lineup featured Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, Super Bomberman R, Assassin’s Creed: Rogue and Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy.
