2018 EmotioNet Challenge | Tech News
Research groups that have designed or are developing algorithms for the analysis of facial expressions are encouraged to participate in this challenge.
The competition has two tracks:
Track 1. Recognition of AUs in the wild
Track 2. Recognition of basic and compound emotions
You may decide to participate in a single track or in both tracks.

EmotioNet database:The training and verification sets are available now. This includes 975,000 images of facial expressions in the wild. This dataset is defined in reference  . Manual annotations of AUs on 25,000 images are included (i.e., the optimization set).
Verification phase: Participants will have access to the testing server from September 3rd to October 10th, 2018.
Challenge phase: Participants will have access to the server from October 29th to November 2nd, 2018.
