Harmonic Drive to Demo Ultra-Compact 6-Axis Robot Arm at RoboBusiness | Robotics
PEABODY, Mass. — Harmonic Drive LLC, a leader in high-precision motion control, is featuring the Meca500 six-axis robot arm at RoboBusiness in Santa Clara. The Meca500 is a compact six-axis robot arm from one of Harmonic Drive’s customers, Mecademic.
The arm will be on display in Harmonic Drive’s booth in the RoboBusiness Expo Hall, No. 205. This year, Harmonic Drive was named one of the top 50 robotics companies on the annual RBR50 list!
Built with precision machined aluminum and zero-backlash gearboxes from Harmonic Drive, the Meca500 is the most precise six-axis robot arm, boasting a repeatability of 5 μm.
The new six-axis industrial robot is ultra-compact. In fact, it is more than twice as small as other small industrial robots, but its controller is embedded in its base, instead of hosted in a bulky external cabinet.
Harmonic Drive is proud to be a platinum sponsor of RoboBusiness 2018.
Don’t miss your chance to see this robot in action in Santa Clara, Calif., on Wednesday, Sept. 26. All attendees are welcome to join the 4th Annual C. Walton Musser Industry Cocktail Opening Reception. Register now!
