Instagram is Testing New Song Stickers With Lyrics

, the Facebook-owned photo and video sharing app, does not fail to amuse its users. Every two to three months it rolls out a new feature to its stories to keep the users engaged and entertained. Recently, the social media platform launched a new Ramadan filter for the Muslim community.

Instagram is now testing a new feature which will allow users to post a sticker showing lyrics to a being played in the background. The feature was discovered by Jane Manchun Wong, a reverse engineer.

She posted it on twitter where she demonstrated how the feature will work. In the video, we see the infamous ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ by Rick Astley alongside the lyrics appearing word by word.

We still don’t know where the feature is being tested right now and we also don’t know when this feature will be launched.

Last year, we saw the background music feature being rolled out. It allowed users to add background music to their snaps. In December, we saw some other musical features being rolled out along with countdown and question stickers.

Based on this pattern, it might be a month or a few weeks until this feature makes it to the general public.
