Apple accidentally lists possible date for iPhone 12 launch event

might have revealed the for the announcement of the upcoming 12 after posting a livestream test on YouTube recently.

One software engineer spotted a test feed on the company's YouTube page on Aug. 21, and later posted a screenshot of the test on Twitter on the same day, tagging the technology website 9to5Mac.

While the post featured an old poster for Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference last June, the livestream was set to show on Sept. 10.

The date is the same as the of the iPhone 11 last year. However, Apple has not commented on the speculation yet. The test feed has also been removed from the company's YouTube page, as of this writing.

Though Apple's chief financial officer Luca Maestri previously stated that the iPhone 12's release would be delayed, Forbes noted that he was referring to the supply and not the announcement of the phone.

Maestri said that the supply of the upcoming gadget will be “available a few weeks later [than usual].” Meanwhile, the Indian Express pointed out that the company might announce the new phone next month but only begin shipping them out weeks after.
