The UK’s energy sector has transformed over the years, as an increasing number of startups have begun leading the way into a new era of sustainable and renewable energy and storage.
Renewables’ share of electricity generation increased to 30.1 percent in Q1 2018, from 27 percent in Q1 2017, according to UK energy statistics from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
This may be a result of several new challenger startups which are using technologies to lead the UK on the right path to efficient energy consumption.
