US technology company HubSpot creates 450 new roles for Ireland

HubSpot will recruit for engineers and sales and services support staff for its global customer base, to be based in Dublin as well as in fully remote positions across the country.

HubSpot – a US that specialises in marketing, sales and customer service software  has announced plans to create 450 jobs in Ireland over the next three years.

Last year, HubSpot was named Ireland’s fifth best workplace by Great Place to Work, as well as a Best Workplace for Women in Ireland.

The company first launched its EMEA headquarters in Dublin in 2013 and since then has tripled in size. To accommodate its growth, the company will move into a new office space called HubSpot House.

The building, located on Sir John Rogerson’s Quay in Dublin, will feature such amenities as a podcast recording space, a candidate experience zone and a designated culture house for yoga classes and rehearsals.

Business functions at the organisation will also expand in Ireland as it plans to recruit engineers to build core software and sales and services support staff for its global customer base.

The new roles will be located at HubSpot’s current offices in the Docklands as well as at HubSpot House, and there will be fully remote positions available throughout the country.

JD Sherman, the company’s president and chief operating officer, commented on its growth: “We opened our EMEA headquarters in Dublin to help HubSpot’s global customers grow better, and to create an opportunity for talented individuals in product, engineering, sales, services, and marketing to have real customer impact across the market.

‘A great diversity of roles’

The new jobs at HubSpot are supported by the IDA. IDA CEO Martin Shanahan said that it is “very pleasing to see a great diversity of roles from engineering to sales being carried out” as the company continues to expand.

“I also commend the company for creating remote jobs which will tap into the strong talent pool in regional locations,” he added.

Christian Kinnear, vice president and managing director for EMEA added that HubSpot teams in Ireland are “incredibly talented and passionate” no matter their working location.
