Google Pixel 3 release date REVEALED in official video leak | Top Stories
The Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones release date has been revealed in an apparently official posting which has leaked the date early.
Google has already leaked details about its new Pixel 3 smartphone but a launch date was never officially shared.
Google has previously launched its new Pixel phones in October – similar to Apple’s new iPhone release date .
Now a posting leak has revealed that we could see the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL released on October 4.
The date was spotted on marketing platform, Famebit , which advertises campaigns to YouTube influencers. In this case it was asking for users to try its Pixel 3 smartphone, featuring a photo of the phone with an October 4 date on the screen.
The text on the ad specifically said: “The Pixel 3 phone is launching October 4, 2018.”
The ad goes on: “For this campaign, Google is looking for Canadian creators who are not currently Google Pixel users but are willing to switch to the Pixel 3.
“Once comfortable with the Pixel 3 and the creator has successfully switched over their contacts, apps, etc to their new phone, Google wants them to share their switching story with the audience.”
Of course this advert could have been created by a third party, rather than Google. But why this would be done, other than a very elaborate hoax, is unclear.
Also unclear is what that October 4 “launch” means. This could be an announcement day or an on sale sale date, or both.
The Pixel and Pixel 2 were both announced on October 4 and on sale on October 25 and 19 respectively.
A previously leaked benchmarking test revealed that the Pixel 3 XL will feature the latest Qualcomm Snapdrgaon 845 CPU backed by 4GB of RAM.
