News Update

Global regulators have teamed up to voice their concerns about skins and loot boxes in .

Fifteen gambling regulators from across Europe, as well as Washington State Gambling Commission, have signed an agreement to work together to address the risks created by the blurring of between gaming and gambling.

What makes these gambling regulators “global”? 15 are from the EU and one is from Washington state. Calling them global seems pretty misleading to me. I don’t really see the big deal with the loot boxes. Are all those card games where you have to buy decks similar. You spend money on a deck of cards, not knowing what will be inside, gambling if you will. Did anybody get upset about that? Are loot boxes like that? You pay hoping there’ll be something good inside, but you don’t actually know. Or kids there should be measure take to stop kids from spending their parents money on this stuff, but I don’t see what’s so bad about it.
