Malaysian Embassy in Indonesia assisting those affected by Lombok earthquake | Tech Malaysia
PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Embassy in Indonesia is working with local police and the disaster mitigation agency to assist those stuck on the popular holiday island after an earthquake struck on Sunday (July 29) morning.
A group of Malaysians who were hiking Mount Rinjani became victims when one of them died and another six were injured.
A 30-year-old Malaysian identified as Siti Nur Ismawida. was killed in the 6.4 magnitude earthquake.
In a press release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it was also trying to identify other Malaysians who are stuck on the island.
