Fallout 76’s Live Action Trailer Is Weird | Gaming News

Fallout 76 is set to be the next major launch of this very busy fall, so it makes sense that Bethesda would want to release a few ads to drum up some excitement for the game’s more general audience. This time, the developer/publisher opted to release a live action trailer, and it’s pretty weird.
The trailer takes a bit more of a psychedelic approach in the beginning, as it pans over one of the game’s giant sloth enemies. We then see a girl spinning while firing two submachine guns into a crowd of robots and ghouls. The video shows off a few more scenes, including a more action-packed sequence with members of the Brotherhood of Steel and a vertibird, as well as one of Fallout 76‘s swamp environments. One particularly odd sequence has a deathclaw approaching a camp of people only to be burned by the group’s campfire and stomp off in pain. Finally, we see another group gathered around as a nuke drops and one of Fallout 76’s scorchbeast enemies emerges.
Meanwhile, the Xbox One beta is now in full swing for players that have pre-ordered the game, so it’s a good time to give it a shot for anyone that’s still on the fence about a multiplayer wasteland. There’s still ample time to cancel a pre-order for anyone that decides they don’t like it, so it’s pretty low risk.
It’s also a good time to start researching some strategies for when the full game launches. The beta is basically the entire game minus a few fixes, so it’s a good time to try and figure the best location for a base and where to nab all the resources. Early impressions of the game seem to be solid thus far, so it’ll interesting to see how Fallout 76 fares at launch.
Fallout 76 will release November 14, 2018, for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
