Hogwarts Mystery Starts House Pride Event | Gaming News

The perfect source for gaming uptodate news

Another week has come and gone and there is still no sign of Year 5 Chapter 3 in Harry Potter: Hogwarts . With Jam City busy putting the finishing touches on the History of Magic class, it looks like fans of the mobile game will have to wait a bit longer to see the story continue. However, just because Year 5 Chapter 3 wasn't added to the game this past week, it doesn't mean Jam City ignored fans completely.

In fact, Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery fans have a slew of new content to try after they download the latest update. This includes a new Pride event, which is the first cooperative event in the history of the game. In House Pride, players are grouped with nine other people in their house and compete to see which house can score the most house points. Winning the week-long competition will unlock a unique robe, complete with animated falling leaves, as well as notebooks that can be used to purchase the new pets that have been added to the game.

There are a variety of ways Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery players can earn house points in the game. First and foremost, they can earn house points by completing classes and doing well in them. Alternatively, players can earn house points through story events, such as completing a year at the school or doing various tasks for the teachers of Hogwarts. The latter is how players can earn the most house points, though they may not have many opportunities to use that method, especially players who have caught up to the story.

The House Pride event is one of the more exciting events in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery thanks to its co-op focus and the rewards available. Following last week's toad skin event, it seems as though Jam City is finally starting to mix things up when it comes to in-game events for Hogwarts Mystery.

Here are all the House Pride rewards players can earn, and the number of house points they have to get to unlock each reward:

  • 100 coins (20 house points)
  • 250 coins (35 house points)
  • 4 notebooks (85 house points)
  • 5 notebooks (180 house points)
  • 6 notebooks (280 house points)

It's clear that if players hope to unlock all of the House Pride rewards, they will have to put forth some extra effort. After all, they may be matched with teammates who aren't contributing to the event at all, so anyone interested should be prepared to carry most of the workload.

Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery is out now for iOS and Android mobile devices.
