Mortal Kombat 11 Stream Delayed Due to Polar Vortex
Fortunately, fans eager to learn more about the game won't have to wait that much longer, as NetherRealm have already nailed down a new date to hold the stream. It will now take place next week on February 5th at 3pm CST.
We can probably expect to see at least one new character be confirmed for the title. Currently, only nine characters have been announced (including the pre-order bonus Shao Kahn), and with time travel being a major element of the game's narrative, pretty much anybody from the series' history could make an appearance. Fan-favorite Reptile has already been leaked and the likes of Johnny Cage and his daughter Cassie have been teased to return.
It's unlikely that we'll see Shaggy be confirmed, though. Yes, the same Shaggy from Scooby-Doo has become a hotly requested character, with a petition with at least 100,000 signatures asking he be included. While the Scooby-Doo license is owned by Warner Bros. – the company publishing Mortal kombat – the chances of a children's cartoon character appearing in a title as violent as Mortal Kombat 11 is highly unlikely.
Mortal Kombat 11 will release on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch on April 23rd.
