Netflix and PlayStation work together as Xbox Game Pass Rival

xbox game pass is increasingly popular with gamers for its attractive offer and affordable price. Many believe that PlayStation should do something similar to compete with Microsoft's service; however, Sony believes that the platform's business model is not sustainable for its games.

On the other hand, we have companies like netflix that, apparently, want to enter the world of video games with everyone. Reports indicate that the company will begin offering games as part of its expansion strategy.

A recent clue suggests that PlayStation and Netflix could team up and work together to compete with Microsoft gaming service ‘Xbox Game Pass'. While nothing is confirmed for now, a dataminer believes it will happen for a reason.

PlayStation and Netflix together?

According to dataminer Steve Moser, Netflix's project to enter the industry is codenamed “Shark.” He also discovered that his iOS app has an icon showing a shark fin.

The interesting thing comes later, as Moser claimed that he found other files related to this Netflix initiative. On them are custom icons for the DualSense, the PlayStation 5 controller, and an image of Ghost of Tsushima, exclusiva de Sucker Punch.

The dataminer thinks this could be a clue to a possible alliance or collaboration between PlayStation and Netflix. Thus, it is not known if Sony is only one of the many partners or if it is a fundamental part of the new Netflix project.

Neither PlayStation nor Netflix have confirmed a new alliance for now

As we mentioned, the companies have not revealed or confirmed anything in this regard, since the Netflix issue and its expansion process is still a great mystery. This since the company has not detailed its strategy to conquer the players.
