Red Dead Redemption 2 gameplay trailer coming tomorrow

Yes, it's finally happening. After much speculation, nearly two years of waiting, and countless hours of agonizing over if they'd show gameplay, Rockstar has finally relieved us of our tension and announced the official gameplay reveal for Red Dead Redemption 2.

The acclaimed developer/publisher combo announced this morning that they will release our first look at gameplay for the highly anticipated western tomorrow morning (Thursday, August 9th) at 11 AM ET/8 AM PT. The will be uploaded to their website, their YouTube channel, and here on GameZone.com when it's live.

We have no idea what to expect from the trailer outside of the obvious (gameplay) but it'll likely be a deep dive into the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 with intros to the characters, the meaty gameplay systems which have been described in a way that makes it sound like a drastic change from Rockstar's open world formula, and much more. This will definitely be what sells you on the game (or pushes you away) if you're on the fence, you can get a taste of what to expect by looking at the GTA V gameplay video from 2013 below.

If there are any easter eggs or interesting things in the gameplay video that aren't explained, we'll be sure to create a breakdown article. Until then, you can set your alarms for 11 AM ET and return to GameZone.com to see the new trailer.

The marketing push for the western kicked off earlier this week with new artwork being posted up on a building in New York City, the artwork showcases John Marston, Sadie Adler, Dutch van der Linde, and Charles Smith as well as the tagline “Outlaws for Life”. These will be just a small handful of characters in the main crew which from previously trailer appears to be quite expansive.

Red Dead Redemption 2 releases on Xbox One and PS4 on October 26th, 2018.
