20th Century has made some sweeping alterations to its release schedule, according to Deadline, changing up the dates on some major X-Men tentpoles and bringing 2 back to in a holiday surprise.

Update: Ryan Reynolds appears to have confirmed the new of Deadpool 2 with an Instagram post depicting him reading the story of it (complete with an illustration of the Juggernaut ripping him in half) to an adult Fred Savage, The Princess Bride-style. This story has been edited through with the change.

Dec. 21 will no longer feature the release of James Cameron’s long-awaited Alita: Battle-Angel adaptation — but rather a re-release of this year’s Deadpool 2, edited to meet the standards of a PG-13 rating. Alita will move two months to Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 2019, to coincide with the Chinese New Year, Deadline reports.

Feb. 14 was the previous release date of Dark Phoenix, which just received its first trailer. That film will be bumped to June 7, 2019. That, of course, bounces Fox’s Gambit film, starring Channing Tatum in the title role. Gambit has been in pre-production for four years, during which it has been attached to three different directors, all of whom eventually left the production for scheduling reasons. Deadline reports that Gambit is now set for sometime in March 2020.

Polygon has reached out to 20th Century Fox for confirmation.
