According to the studio, which owner NCsoft confirmed it was shutting down earlier this month, it’s “going to do everything we can to honor the WildStar community, and show thanks for your support.” That means a series of events running through the game’s termination in November. Here’s a rundown of what’s happening:
September 26–November 28
Double XP, Glory Days, Power Prestige and PvP, and Blessing of Essence will be on from now until shutdown.
Residential Renovation, with the Battle Chase reward set available during this occurrence.
October 19–November 2

In the meantime, Carbine Studios and NCsoft are being generous to existing players by increasing the drop rate of Omnibits, an in-game currency in WildStar, and giving players access to seasonal and rotating items through in-game stores. In-game purchases made with real money on or after July 1 have also been refunded.
“We are truly grateful for the vibrant community that grew around WildStar, and for all of your support throughout the life of this game,” the WildStar team said in its goodbye post. “Our hope is that in these last couple months we can all celebrate the great adventures you’ve had on Planet Nexus—and have some fun along the way.”
WildStar launched in 2014 as a subscription-based MMO. The game went free-to-play the following year, and Carbine Studios was later hit with a wave of massive layoffs. The studio was officially closed on Sept. 6.
