Facebook Messenger Rooms Feature Launched Globally
Last month Mark Zuckerberg announced about the launch of the Messenger Rooms feature. Messenger Rooms is a video calling feature which allows the users to do video call with 50 members at once. The user can also share content with each other, like other apps. Finally, now the company has announced that it has launched the Messenger Rooms feature to all the users.
Finally, Facebook has rolled out the Messenger Rooms feature globally. On Thursday, the company announced that the feature is out globally for all the users. It is a new way to attract users at a time, and it will be a great competitor to the Zoom video conferencing app. Messenger Rooms allows 50 people to do video call in a single chat. You can create a room from Facebook and Messenger and then share the link to your friends with whom you want to do video call. You can also invite those who are not on Facebook.
A vice president of Messenger, Stan Chudnovsky, said in a post,
“You can start and share rooms on Facebook through News Feed, Groups, and Events, so it’s easy for you to drop by whenever you want.”
The user can select the people who can see and join the Messenger rooms. If you want, you can remove people from the rooms and even lock the room if you don’t want more people to join the room.
The company announced that the users globally can now create a new room from Messenger. And all the North American users can create a room from Facebook.
To get Messenger Rooms, you need to download the latest version of Facebook and Messenger on your Android and iOS device. And for all the PC users, download the Messenger Desktop app from the Microsoft store and macOS.
Recently, Facebook was also spotted testing Whatsapp integration for Messenger Rooms. It was testing on the beta version of Whatsapp for Android.
