Destiny 2: How to Get the Third Seed of Light | Gaming News

The perfect source for gaming uptodate news

The Last Wish raid is live for all 2: Forsaken owners and thus far the endgame encounter has proved quite challenging. Most players that are actually progressing are above the 540 power level threshold and even those instances are rare. For some, the raid is going to have to wait a week (or several) before an earnest attempt is possible.

However, those that can complete the first encounter in the raid are encouraged to do so, as we now know it offers the third of for players’ subclass tree. Players that are able to beat Kalli will get that Seed of Light as a guaranteed drop.

While it’s unclear if there are any other sources for the third Seed of Light, the first raid encounter is the only known one. On top of that, it appears to be a guaranteed drop, unlike the second Seed of Light, which is a random drop from the Tier 2 or Tier 3 Blind Well reward chest.

When Bungie discussed acquiring the new subclass trees in Destiny 2: Forsaken, the developer did say that not all players would be able to unlock all three immediately. Now we know that’s because one is locked behind the raid, which only just launched today.

No doubt if there isn’t another way to acquire the Seed of Light, this decision by Bunge is going to be controversial. Locking a third subclass behind an endgame activity that requires a certain power level and a fireteam of six with no matchmaking is a confusing decision. There are going to be plenty of players frustrated by this, so the hope is that the raid is just one of the activities that can offer the third Seed of Light.

It’s possible that the raid is simply a guaranteed drop and there are other sources as well. Maybe it’s time-gated with the Blind Well, or maybe Tier 3 has a chance to drop a Seed of Light but only after a certain point. This is all speculation right now and we’ll offer updates if new source arise.

Destiny 2: Forsaken is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
