Fortnite Season 6 is now in full swing, and players have new challenges to complete in order to progress the Battle Pass. This season, the Battle Pass remains at the price of 950 V-bucks, but brings with it new items such as pets.
To unlock these, Fortnite players must level up by obtaining 10 battle stars, with the weekly challenges being the easiest way to unlock said rewards. Check out our full guide on how to complete all Season 6 Week 1 challenges below:
Pick up a Legendary Item in (3) different matches – 5 Battle Stars
The first item up on this week’s Fortnite challenges requires players to pick up a legendary item in three different matches. This is rather straightforward, as players will only need to be on the look out for gold-tinged items and pick them up. Doing this across three matches will net the player 5 battle stars.
Regain (150) health from a Cozy Campfire – 5 Battle Stars
The second free challenge may be a bit more difficult than the first, because players will need to sustain damage and survive. A Cozy Campfire, for the uninitiated, is a trap players can throw down to regenerate health.
To unlock 5 battle stars, players will need to heal for 150 health from one of these traps. A simple method to do so would be to sustain minor fall damage and repeatedly heal. It’s worth mentioning, however, for those checking out the new Shadow Stones, that these items protect the player from fall damage.
Stage 1: Search (3) Chests (HARD) – 1 Battle Star/ Stage 2: Search (2) Supply Drops – 1 Battle Star/ Final Stage:Search (1) Llama – 1 Battle Star
Challenges with multiple stages were introduced last season as a way to break up the mass confusion caused by focusing on certain areas. While this challenge is free, it will not be easy.
The first stage, searching three chests, should be simple enough. Searching 2 supply drops shouldn’t be that difficult either, especially if gamers play the fan-favorite 50v50 mode. Finally, players will need to search a Loot Llama, which is often found by pure luck. Players should expect this final stage to go undone for a few games.
Battle Pass Challenges
Apply (500) shields – 5 Battle Stars
The first challenge up on the Battle Pass should be simple. Players can earn this by consuming 10 half-pots, 20 small pots, or some combination of the two.
It’s even easier now that Epic has made it possible to stack up to 3 half-pot shields. Of course, this will happen across multiple matches, but will likely be achieved with little-to-no forethought.
Stage 1: Land at Junk Junction – 1 Battle Star/ Stage 2: Land at Tomato Temple – 1 Battle Star/ Stage 3: Land at Tilted Towers – 1 Battle Star/ Stage 4: Land at Fatal Fields – 1 Battle Star/ Final Stage: Land at Flush Factory – 1 Battle Star
The staged Battle Pass challenge has players landing in five different areas. While this may take a few matches, it’s hardly difficult, as players will simply need to head for one of the aforementioned areas as they drop.
The order above – Junk Junction, Tomato Temple, Tilted Towers, Fatal Fields, and Flush Factory – is the order players will need to land. So, players should focus on which stage they are on.
Dance under (7) different Streetlight Spotlights (HARD) – 10 Battle Stars
One of the more difficult challenges is dancing under 7 different spotlights. While they are located on the map found further above, players should also check out this guide for other tips and tricks to handle this challenge. Once this is done, players will gain 10 Battle Stars and tier up on their Battle Pass.
Eliminate opponents in (5) different named locations (HARD) – 10 Battle Stars
For some, this may be the hardest challenge, because it is often easier to fort up and defend a location than it is to travel across the map. Luckily, this can be done across several game modes.
Players just need to get at least one kill in some of the named areas across the map. The most efficient method to do so and complete this week’s challenges, however, may be to get at least one kill in the staged-challenge locations above. Doing so will not only knock on the landing challenge, but also net one kill toward this challenge.
Without a doubt, players are exploring the new items, pets, and map changes that have come to the battle royale game. There is still a lot left of season 6 to discover, and many more challenges ahead. Tell us, Ranters, what have you though about the changes so far?
