Fortnite: Where to Find Apples and Mushrooms | Gaming News

Fortnite‘s Season 5 Week 10 challenges are available now, and like past weeks, they task players with completing a variety of objectives in exchange for various rewards. This week, one of the challenges is to eat 20 apples and mushrooms, and while this is a fairly straightforward challenge to complete, some players may not know exactly where to look to find them.
In Fortnite, apples and mushrooms are consumable items that can be found on the world map. Apples give players 5 health points, whereas mushrooms give players 5 shield points. If players have max health or shields, they will be unable to consume any apples or mushrooms, so those trying to complete this challenge should keep that in mind.
Apples can be found on the ground near trees that have light green leaves. One of the best places to find them is below the trees that surround Risky Reels, which is found in the northeast corner of the map. However, we recommend players focus on mushrooms instead, as they can only eat the apples if they are not at full health.
Mushrooms, meanwhile, can be found in especially shady places, but there are two spots in particular that we recommend players check out. The first one is Dusty Divot, where plenty of mushrooms grow, and the second is Wailing Woods. Both Dusty Divot and Wailing Woods have large trees that create shady spots, and players will be able to find the most mushrooms by visiting these areas.
It’s also worth pointing out that players don’t have to eat 20 mushrooms and 20 apples; they just need to eat 20 mushrooms or apples total. Furthermore, this doesn’t have to be done in one match, so if players miss out on eating all 20 apples or mushrooms, they can land in the same areas next match and try again.
Overall, this is one of the easier challenges when it comes to Season 5 Week 10 in Fortnite, so once players are done doing this, they may still need some help finding the puzzle pieces and getting 10 eliminations before they’re done with the week.
