Pokemon Quest: How to Get Legendary Pokemon | Gaming

Pokemon Quest, the recently released mobile game where players collect cube-shaped Pokemon, allows players to add all 151 original Pokemon to their collection. This includes legendary Pokemon like Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos, and Mewtwo, as well as the mythical Pokemon Mew. And just like players need to cook recipes to attract any other Pokemon to their base camp, the same method is used to get legendary Pokemon in the game.

Getting legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Quest boils down to cooking the right recipe, Ambrosia of a la Cube, and then completing the required number of expeditions (or spending enough PM Tickets) to finish the concoction. Like other recipes in the game, there are a number of ways players can prepare Ambrosia of a la Cube, but all of them require an ingredient called the Mystical Shell.

Mystical Shells are some of the rarest ingredients in Pokemon Quest, and can only be obtained by farming levels 12-1 and beyond. If players fight legendary Pokemon during these expeditions, those legendary Pokemon have a chance to drop a Mystical Shell, which can then be incorporated into a recipe to create Ambrosia of Legends a la Cube. However, not all ways to prepare Ambrosia of Legends a la Cube will attract every legendary and mythical Pokemon available.

To attract Articuno, Moltres, or Zapdos to base camp, players will need to create an Ambrosia of Legends a la Cube made with two Mystical Shells and two Tiny Mushrooms (though other combinations can also work). In order to attract the likes of Mewtwo and Mew to base camp, players will need to create Ambrosia of Legends a la Cube using a whopping five Mystical Shells, but keep in mind that this version of the stew also has a chance of attracting the legendary birds as well.

The best bet is to just farm five Mystical Shells each time, as that will have the potential to attract all four legendary Pokemon (Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos, and Mewtwo) as well as the mythical Pokemon Mew. Other Mystical Shell recipes only seem to attract the legendary birds, and aren’t able to attract Mew or Mewtwo.

Now that players know the ingredients necessary to attract legendary Pokemon to their camp in Pokemon Quest, they just need to head out on expeditions and farm for them.

Pokemon Quest is out now for Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch.
